Teaching
Alongside being a performer, Tom is a piano teacher giving lessons in jazz and/or beginner piano, and a saxophone teacher giving lessons to beginners and intermediates. If you’re interested in lessons, contact Tom at teaching@tomlindsayjazz.com.
Jazz piano lessons - You don’t need to have played any jazz or improvised before – you can learn from scratch or develop any existing knowledge that you might have. All that’s necessary is an interest in jazz piano! You’ll learn to play in the jazz style and to play improvised solos, whilst also taking the time to understand the theory behind what you're learning.
Beginner piano lessons - Lessons are available to anyone right down to those completely new to the piano, and of any age. You're also welcome to include aspects of improvisation in lessons (or not at all!) so that it comes naturally to you once you're more comfortable with the instrument.
Saxophone lessons - You can learn whether you've played the saxophone before or not - and the lesson content can include as much or as little jazz and improvisation as you like.
