I also offer bands performing Live Music for Events - including a Sinatra-style Swing Orchestra, background jazz groups and a party band.

News

March 2013

Jazz education is front and centre of my mind for much of this month - including leading a session on jazz at Warwick School on Sunday 10th March. The more young musicians I can persuade to even just occasionally play their instrument without reading from written notes (i.e. improvise!), the happier I'll be!

I'm very much looking forward to seeing the Cheltenham Jazz Festival again in May - particularly the charismatic baritone of Gregory Porter. For fans of more contemporary jazz, I'm enjoying Gogo Penguin's album Fanfares, and they sound like a group that would be brilliant live so I'll be checking them out.

I'm happy to say you can now check out the audio from my Lunchtime Concert at Warwick Arts Centre last month - have a listen on the projects page. I'd love to hear what you think about the recordings, so do send me some comments by any method you like - and criticism is as welcome as praise!
